One of Chef Ryan’s favourite new restaurants is Sommer at The Sail, which he says is very much worth checking out. At the helm of this fine-dining establishment is a very young English chef called Lewis Barker – as Chef Ryan describes him, “very good talent, very passionate, definitely in line for a Michelin star.”
For a Modern European high-end restaurant serving exquisite dishes created from great produce, Sommer is surprisingly affordable. And they have a amazing wine list too, according to Chef Ryan.
What stood out most was the quality of produce and the techniques applied to them. The attention to detail is phenomenal and Chef Ryan was blown away by the creativity.
Bookings way in advance are a must, which is testament to the wonderful job they’re doing at Sommer. This is one restaurant you need to consider next time you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to treat yourself.
