MasterChef Singapore contestant Melissa Lim spoke previously about her love for French Pâtisserie and this week, she recommends a stunning venue for fine-dining. From the same people behind the L’Entrecote Steak & Fries Bistros and Sabio by the Sea, Riviera serves up great ambiance, delectable modern Mediterrean cuisine, and for Melissa, some of the most exquisite desserts.
The prime waterfront space at One Fullerton is worth visiting during the day for panoramic views of Singapore’s picturesque Marina Bay Skyline from its floodlit dining room. Also, great tip from Melissa – when it comes to high end restaurants, go for their set lunch menus and you’ll be able to enjoy the quality of the food at more affordable prices. At Riviera, Executive Chef Rémy Carmignani presents signatures like Homemade Gnocchi & Mediterranean Turbot during lunch. Ala Carte is available, but their set lunches are great value at 2 courses for 48++ or 3 courses for 58++ per person.
However, while Melissa testifies that the savouries are absolutely delicious, she has a special place in her heart for the sweets at Riviera, made by her mentor Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Vernole. Her dessert idol creates superlative desserts that are both gorgeous to look at and gorgeous to eat.
