Check out their humble hawker stall that specializes in gourmet pizzas topped with premium ingredients, some with an Asian-inspired twist, like kimchi bacon, curry chicken, korubuta chashu & mala smoked duck.

3 gas-powered ovens that sit squat & adorably on their worktop, breathing fire on the 10 inch hand stretched pies that Christina deftly turns to get the perfect cook.

IMG_6197Testament to their popularity, the Hawaiian & Portobello mushroom pizzas were sold out when I visited, but there was still plenty to choose from and I settled on the highly recommended limited-time-only Pesto Proscuitto Bufala, featuring Hydroponics homegrown basil in the pesto, topped with 18 month aged Italian ham & creamy buffalo mozzarella.

I could really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients on this pizza, but the star was the base, which I would say, is more like the puffy, chewy Neapolitan style. Their doughs are made fresh daily using premium double zero Italian flour and allowed to ferment up to 72 hours. Christina explained that the long ferment makes it easier to digest.

IMG_6180The pizza base was airy & pillowy, great in taste and texture, with little hits of smoky char from where the crust was fire-blistered.  And indeed, it was light and easy on the tummy.

I also enjoyed the Applewood Bacon pizza, featuring a tomato base smothered in Mozzarella cheese, basil, extra virgin olive oil, Parmesan cheese and applewood smoked bacon. The saltiness of the cured pork went well with the tang of parmesan and tomato, whilst the Mozzarella gave the pizza a delightful, oozy creaminess.

I was tempted to load up on more savoury flavours, but was reminded to leave room for dessert. That’s My Pizza have been getting rave reviews for their sweet pies, so I went with the Banana Salted Caramel. It was a revelation. I generally prefer more savoury flavours, but this dessert pizza was surprisingly moreish. The thin layer of banana spread brought on full flavour and the earthy salted caramel was perfectly balanced.
